The right choice for groups, families with children and people travelling on their own! Visitors can enjoy their stay in a beautiful and relaxing environment, for training, recreation and cultural purposes. The hostel Elisson is created with love and faith in the Greek countryside and meets the need of qualitative accommodation in the rural area of the Corinthian upland region. The hostel was built above the valley of Elisson river, offering a large view over it. The architecture of the building – stone, timber, tile – is in complete harmony with the traditional architecture of Kryoneri and with its the natural landscape.

Location

Kryoneri village is in the centre of Corinthia county, at the same distance between the sea and the mountains. It is built like an amphitheatre, at 740 meters of altitude and has a panoramic view on the Corinthian Gulf, surrounded by vineyards and only 150 km from Athens Airport. Mount Vesiza (1.200 m) overlooks the village and constitutes the natural border with the plain of Stymfalía. From this mountain, the river Elisson spreads, which crosses Kryoneri and the evergreen plain, before flowing into the Corinthian Gulf, towards Kiato.

Details

The Hostel Elisson is an agro-tourism enterprise of people living in the mountainous village of Kryoneri Korinthias. The hostel has five rooms with big verandas, common spaces with fireplace and small restaurant, libraries, seminar and meeting rooms, as well as a nice green courtyard of 7 acres, with trees, grass, flowers and organic vegetables garden.

The conscious use of renewable sources of energy and systems of protection of aquatic resources is included in the eco-tourism philosophy. It uses a biological sewage cleaning system, so that the water can be re-used to irrigate the garden, and precious potable water is not wasted. A geothermic system ensuring hot water from the ground, supplies the hostel with heating.

Limneo Hostel is leaded from the family itself and that’s one of the reasons that we care about traditional kitchen and connection to the Greek culture. An ideal place for relaxing, unforgettable excursions around the lake and interaction with nature. Location

Limneo guest house is a cozy, well-appointed hostel in the village of Chrysochorafa, in Serres region, northern Greece. It is the perfect base for exploring Lake Kerkini (a Ramsar Site) and its surrounding plains and hilly forests. The largest national park in Greece and one of the top birding sites in Europe, it is wonderful at any time of year not only for birds but for a wealth of plants and other wildlife. On the lake, there are patches of water lilies where Whiskered and Black terns breed. The Greater Flamingos and Dalmatian Pelicans being the main attraction of Kerkini.

Our hostel is a new building, where wood is the main element. Wooden floors, roofs and balconies, stone fireplaces, iron railings made by hand and woven plucked from grandmother’s trunk compose a simple environment of quality that will make your travel unforgettable. In our beautiful and cozy living room you will enjoy your breakfast whenever you wake up. Our guesthouse has 8 double rooms, all decorated with simplicity and love. Each has name and decor from areas and sites in the prefecture of Serres: Lake Kerkini – Strimonas – Mountain Belles – Ruppel – Hamam – Lailias – Cave Allistratis – Leon of Amphipolis. All rooms are spacious and airy, have air conditioning, heating, fireplace and TV.

Traditional homemade recipes, frumenty, gioufkades, pies, bread, fresh eggs, homemade jams, honey, fresh milk, local products and of course homemade desserts by Mrs. Anastasia.

Country Hotel Velani

Relaxing close to nature

The charming family-run Velani hotel is a secret haven hidden in a rocky wilderness of ancient stone and protected Kermes oak forest. It is these oak trees with their evergreen leaves and ‘Velani’ fruits that gave our hotel its name. The nature around, the architecture, the activities, the food, the Cretan hospitality and the love of the owners meeting people all over the world makes this small hotel a place to enjoy every day of your stay.

Location

We are located in rural area near the village Avdou, in the province of Heraklion, on the island of Crete in Greece. The hotel is build on the hill of Dikti mountain with a fantastic view over the Langatha valley and the lake of Aposelemis river.

Details

Velani has 12 spacious and comfortable rooms with a breathtaking view and give you a feeling of relaxing with nature on your doorstep. There is a large infinity pool as well as a separately located children’s pool. The hotel owns the Odysseia stables with 20 horses and guides ready to teach you horse riding if you are a beginner or guide you in the nature around if you are an experience rider.

Our restaurant uses its own fruit and vegetables to prepare the famous healthy Cretan diet; our kitchen utilizes our home-grown produce as well as that of the local farms and surrounding villages. Try typically Greek dishes with extra virgin olive oil, Cretan wine made from ancient grape species, meat and cheese from the free-ranging sheep and goats of our neighbors, or honey from the local beekeeper.
